CLIMATE STRATEGIES DO NOT CONVERGE

Stopping production of fossil fuels has been imagined to prevent global warming and simultaneously prevent depletion of energy supplies. It won’t.

Global warming can be reduced by putting into the atmosphere less heat energy from fossil fuels, solar, wind and hydro. Atmospheric warming from traces of greenhouse gases, more than by other gases, has been refuted. A shifted climate science paradigm is explained in my novel Animal Farm 2, a sequel to Orwell’s Animal Farm satirising totalitarianism. Global warming by thermal emissions, or solar changes, is more likely than by carbon dioxide.

The other strategy is to reduce depletion of energy resources. Extracting and using fossil fuels more efficiently is possible. Other energy: solar, wind, hydro and wood also cause heat emissions and need to be reduced, because they cause more warming than fossil fuel energy and are more costly. In my novel Short of Love, wasteful extraction of petroleum resources in Canada and other countries has a solution. Coal has been depleted in some European countries but Australia has large resources available to supply export demand for possibly thousands of years into the future. There is no need to stop coal production in Australia that could supply the world. Books available from Amazon.
